We are so excited to present to you the New Zealand Gin Day Souvenir Gin 2023!

New Zealand Gin Day was created by two gin loving kiwi gals, Mars and Shaans. It's a day when gin drinkers can get together to celebrate our fantastic New Zealand gins, crafted by our talented New Zealand distillers.

It is celebrated the fourth Saturday of January, every year.  This year it's the 28th January. 

Each year, they get together with a few New Zealand distillers to release a special limited edition distillers’ choice. Each distiller involved picks a botanical and sends it to the official distiller of the year. Who in turn, works their magic and creates a wonderful unique celebratory gin for us all to enjoy.

The NZ Gin Day team have been busy with Soren from 1919 Distillery, where he was doing what he does best, making Gin!!

With Soren's lead, the following Distillers have each selected and sent a botanical to Soren, who has crafted a truly special, unique gin for this Limited Edition New Zealand Gin Day Celebratory Gin.

Now let's talk tasting notes! 

Juniper led London dry style gin with classic notes of pine and New Zealand citrus with fresh bursts of lemongrass, and hints of Kanuka.

This collaboration gin has botanicals each distiller hand picked, including classic and native botanicals to New Zealand. 

An approachable, London dry gin and a great kiwi made all-rounder. To be enjoyed with your favourite tonic or soda, and it’s the perfect gin for cocktails. 

We recommend the classic Gimlet with this gin!

It doesn’t get much simpler or more refreshing than this. The perfect Summer cocktail. 

• 75ml gin
• 15ml lime juice
• 15ml sugar syrup
• lime zest, to garnish

Add all ingredients to shaker filled with ice

Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass filled with ice

Garnish with lime zest.
