HASTINGS DISTILLERY

Hastings Distillers is New Zealand’s first producer of certified organic artisan spirits and liqueurs.

Created in accordance with the laws of nature and fine-tuned by their years of winemaking, their drinks are unique arrangements of wild foraged, organically or biodynamically grown botanicals, pure organic spirit and living water.

Everything you would expect from premium craft spirits.

POSY PINK GIN

A playful floral blend combining the freshness of citrus and raspberries with sweet, spicy notes. Batch distilled in a 150L Arnold Holstein still and cut to strength with Kaweka spring water. Top notes of raspberry, citrus and juniper. Flowering lemon myrtle, lavender and lime bring lifted citrus and floral notes. Added after distillation, organic raspberries and hibiscus flowers give Posy a delicate pink hue and subtle sweetness.

Best enjoyed long with East Imperial tonic or soda.

• Biogro certified organic
• Containing no animal products
• Alc/Vol: 38.5%
• Vol: 700mL

WHERE TO GO IN HASTINGS

Situated on the North Islands east coast, Hawkes Bay is one of the warmest, driest regions of New Zealand, dubbed the Fruit bowl of New Zealand. With 70+ wineries in the area, Hastings District is a mecca for food and wine lovers. You'll also find an abundance of fruit orchards, as well as an array of boutique and artisan delicacies.

Of course, visit the Hastings distillery tasting room and sample some delicious cocktails, then head next door to Sazio pasta bar. Ya Bon across the street for delicious French baked goods (where this months snack is from). For something other than gin, head to Cellar 495, Hasting's newest wine bar. Mary's in Havelock North is a must for dinner and drinks.

No visit to Hawkes Bay is complete without a trip to The Hawkes Bay Farmers Markets on a Sunday morning, one of the oldest and largest Farmers’ Markets in the country.
